Default Time to rotate the tread

I have a question I guess I can answer myself but I was just wondering for a little input.

Time has now come up to rotate the tires, the last time I had to rotate tires on a car with different size wheels on the front to back was simply changing sides. As the current wisdom is only to rotate front to back what is the procedure for rotating the tires on the K9, are the tires unmounted from the rims?

Sorry for an obvious question.

no front to back rotation allowed as tires front and back are different size.
Tires are rotated front left to front right and the opposite.
Rear stay on rear just change sides.
If you were to change tires for new ones, don't get directional tires.
These can not be rotated side to side.
Only way to rotate directional tires would be to dismount and remount
on opposite side. Always chance of damaging tire bead or wheel.

Thank you, I am going to garage the K9 for the next 6 week as my wife if out of town for business, then off to the dealer to get this done. I almost purchased a set of Yokohama directional tires.
