Default Proud K900 Luxury VIP Plus Owner

Just purchased my 2015 Kia Luxury with the VIP plus package yesterday, Mineral Silver Exterior/ Indigo Blue Interior. I bought technically used (3,300 miles), all the floor mats and everything where still wrapped and sealed in plastic. I think I got a great deal at $34,500, and coming out of my 2012 Kia Optima EX I'm definitely a fan Kia. Now I need Kia to come out with a luxury full size SUV so I can upgrade the 2013 Sorento EX.

The Car came with Continental Tire's so hopefully I won't have any tire issues like others. Looks like my warranty won't include the maintenance program and I will only get 5 year 60,000 verses 10 year 100,000, which is a bummer but I can always buy a warranty depending on how long I keep the car.

I appreciate all the information you guys provided here and will try to contribute as best I can.

Quick question, the manual says gas containing 87 octane or above, but the gas door says premium gas for performance. Regular gas by me in the Chicagoland area is 87 octane, what are you guys/gals putting in your cars?

welcome to the forum.
The manual says 87 octane is ok
but for best performance use premium with the V8.
If you go by the Hyundai tests, you only
loose 3-4 horsepower with the 87 octane.
I think most of us use premium with the V8, but make
sure you use a top tier gasoline.
Which continental tires does yours have?
I changed mine from OEM to the DMS06.
Where are you located? I'm from Glendale,az

Welcome to the K900 forum and congrats on getting yours.

I would only recommend using premium octane in the V8 model, this is what I use as well.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help finding anything for your ride.

We have a few upgrades available on our site.

Can't wait to see the release in the US. They need to do more promo on the K900 here, I bought it from a Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer and they had it over 90 days, and I was the first person to inquire about it (according to the salesman). He also didn't know much of anything about it. But I have a Kia K900 dealer right down the street from me as well as a Genesis / Hyundai dealer (so should be in good hands should I run into issues). I'm in love with the car, hope the feelings don't fade after a few months.

Great car for the money. I love mine. See if it's possible to take it to your local Kia dealer to have it CPO-ed, maybe for a grand or two. You may come out ahead than buying a 3rd market warranty.

Great Idea MDude, might check that out this week. Discovered a few new things today, like the grocery bag hook in the trunk, and the car had a clear plastic chip protector applied to the front.

Also, had the UVO system while driving go to a static sound, and the display had multiple colored lines going across the screen horizontally, like an old school TV tuned to a station with no signal. Put the car in Park turned it off and back on, the system took a minute of two to reboot but appears to be fine, anyone else have this issue?
