Default Just got a 2017 VIP with 13k miles for $34000

Picked it up yesterday. Black/black, as new. Did I get a good deal at $34000?

This is my first Kia. My thoughts so far:
I traded in a 2011 Infiniti M37x with all the options and the tech seems crude compared to the K900

The features are very intuitive
The wood looks fake
Downloaded and installed UVO and it works. Remote start is handy on very hot or cold days.
I drove it home in a biblical rain storm and it was very planted and confidence inducing
It would be perfect if it had:
-Android Auto
-Auto high beams
-All wheel drive

Wood does look fake but is real, albeit (too) heavily lacquered.

It kind of depends on the model and options to assess the deal.

MSRPs for 2017:

Premium V6 - started at $49k
Luxury V6 - started at $54k
Luxury V8 with VIP+ - goes all the way up to $68k

So if it is the latter of the 3, I would say you got a smokin good deal.

Yes, that seems to be quite a good deal, especially for a 2017. I'm envious! Keep us posted on how your owner experience goes.

Okay a month in and I really like the car.
Its looks are growing on me.
I haven't yet seen another one in NYC or rural Connecticut where I live.
I am pretty nervous about how it will handle in snow and ice. The Infiniti I replaced it with was awd.... gulp.

Two questions:
What is the little red asterisk in the upper right corner of the display? Couldn't find it in the manual.
Also, is it possible to lock it with the engine (ac or heat) on and walk away with the key? I'd like to leave my dog in the car sometimes.

I'm glad you're enjoying your K900. I've had my 2015 for 15 months now, and I still love it.

I don't think you should be too nervous about ice and snow. Yes, RWD cars are not as good in snow as FWD or AWD, but most of the perceived difference is marketing hype. Remember, it wasn't that long ago that almost all cars were RWD and tires back then were much less capable of handling winter weather, yet people got around just fine in the winter. Buy a good set of winter tires and drive appropriately for conditions, and you should have no issues. My wife and I live in Washington state and we both drive RWD cars, a K900 and a Mustang and we manage just fine every winter.

Had to look that one up. It indicates tha the 911 Connect feature is turned on. 911 connect automatically calls 911 if an airbag deploys (assuming your phone is paired) and sends the location information of your vehicle to 911. You can turn it off in UVO Settings if you don't want to use it.

It's on page 166 in your Navigation system manual
