Default Wanting to buy a VIP 2015

Hello guys/gals thereís a 2015 on cargurus,

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-Kia-K900-Virginia-Beach-d2264_L37026?sourceContext=MESSAGE_INBOX#listing=2 74954618

white w/white interior vip package. It has 58k miles the seller is high but Iím offering whatís a fair price not the $4k sheís over. Iíll purchase an extended bumper to bumper type warranty through Endurance or carchex for an additional 50-60k Miles for $2k.

Iím verifying tomorrow what services/work that theyíve completed(how much is the next Major service and what mileage?). Iím getting the tire depth, rotor/brake %, and just a complete PPI.

The car is in Virginia Beach, VA is there any member near that can take a look at it for me?! Iíll buy ya lunch when I come pick it up if i purchase it or send you a gift card if I donít.

Iíve read every article I can about the car and would love to own one because the price is so attractive in the $15k-$17k range for a low mileage very nice condition car!! If not Iíll just grab a 2014 Equus for $15k... I like the interior of the 900 better esp the VIP dash and features.

Thanks a million!!!

Ikon

Welcome to the forum.
The biggest thing I'd watch for is the headlights.
Make sure they come up to point straight ahead.
They have had problems with some where the
bulbs point down because of being an adaptable
system. I think it was more of a one batch of
lights that caused the problem. They are expensive
for new ones. Used on ebay is the way to go there.

Yes I heard about that and it scares me! I bought my wife a Jaguar SType R in 2006 and it had those type of lights and once broke under warranty! With the K900 can you have them permanently fixed in one position?

Plus Iím getting an extended warranty... is the fit and finish as good as it looks for the long haul?

You can buy used headlights on ebay most of the time.
I went from the 2015 K900 to a 2018 Genesis G90 ultimate
Wish I had purchased the K900 after lease was up instead
of going to the Genesis.
Just make sure the extended warranty covers the head lights
and the panoramic sunroof

I’ve used endurance and carchex extended warranty before. All got the job done... but my credit union typically has the best rate and coverage.

Did you all take a look at the car ad on cargurus? If so tell me what you think... the wheels are 19” Niche... I’ll sell those & move to a 20” with the Storm lowering springs.

Those G90s are NICE.......! Always love the Equus and the new G. I’m sure it’s a lovely lovely pretty car! If I was in the budget of dropping $30k plus on one I’ll grab a used 2017 G90, BUT I’m budgeting to pick up an 18’ Lexus LC500 Sports coupe next year when the prices should dip into the $40K range at the auction.

So I’ll wait in the LC500 and get a nice sedan for now with the features I like and the luxury I need for the price of a loaded Nissan Versa...!

What makes you think it's not a fair price? The other K900 there is not a VIP and listed at $19,388 that is considered "$575 below market" but the VIP package vehicle you're after is listed at $21,500 is somehow "$3,123 above market"... the price looks fair to me. Offering $4k less would be a low-ball in my opinion.

There’s others out there much cheaper but I like the people selling and it’s a nice combo but there’s one at a dealership that’s CPO for $20999 with 40k miles that I’m negotiating with too and you can get a 16’ VIP for that price with better mileage. There’s other sites with them too and I was just looking at the entire market and cars overall conditioning and history. Every used car is different.... one may be worth $19k and the other exact car is work only $15k with the same miles but may have nicks/dings, not mint interior, 3 owners, missing the current service etc. You don’t want to overpay for an auto that value will surely take a huge dive yearly.

Now I’m the one to believe that your price is your price, it’s up to the buyer to pay for it or not... and hopefully we can both be happy with the final price, if not no harm no foul.

Very good luck in hunting, The Ikon. It's fun, but also exhausting.

One thing I'd advise looking for is the dreaded dashboard delamination, which unfortunately I think I'm beginning to see on mine.

Not a functional issue, but annoying on such a high-line vehicle. If you see it, point it out and make it a reason to offer a little less $.
