Default anyone graduated from 1st gen to 2nd gen?

Wondering if anyone has graduated from a 1st gen K900 to a 2nd gen K900?

Is it a significant improvement. I love the V8 in my 2015 VIP edition. Been thinking about a newer one, but I'd miss the big V8.

For me the V8 was a huge selling point. It has power for days and never feels like it's working hard.

Can't speak to owning first generation. I have 2nd gen year 2020. From what I learned from various reviews, test drives, etc. The second gen is quite a bit more car. A bit larger, more luxury, more safety features, all wheel drive, better handling and the 3.3L twin turbo out performs the V8.

I had a 2015 V8 VIP and now have a 2020 VIP. If the 2020 is larger it isn't noticeable. I wouldn't say that the TTV6 outperforms the V8, but in most cases I don't miss the V8, and I thought that I would. The 2020 has a firmer ride and handles better than the 2015. In terms of luxury I would say the 2020 has a more modern interior design as would be expected, with matte wood finish. The 2020 seats are firmer with side bolsters that firm up in sport mode. Still, this is a luxury, not sport, sedan. I like the exterior of the 2020 better, especially the front grille, wheels and side profile. Features lost in the 2020 include soft close doors, panoramic sunroof and fog lights, while you gain AWD (not available on the 2015 V8), numerous safety features, larger 14" infotainment display that can be split in three and has more features. Overall I would say the 2015 was a great car to ride in, the 2020 is more fun to drive. I'm happy with the 2020.

Do you think if the 2015 vip had an inch lower stance and better springs it’ll handle almost like the 2020? Did you sell your 15’ or trade it? Have any trouble with it and mikes when sold... thanks

Congrats on the 2020 as well!!!!!!!

What color vip do you have and are you interested in selling? Miles and condition?

Thumbs up

Alex...The 3.3L twin turbo in the 2019 & 2020 2nd generation does out perform the earlier generation V8.
The 3.3L gets better gas mileage and is quicker. Check out the website www.zeroto60times.com

3.3L twin turbo
0-60 5.1 seconds
Qtr mile 13.7 seconds

V8
0-60 5.5 seconds
Qtr mile 13.9 seconds

Both engines do move the the full size heavy sedan along very, very well. The 3.3L twin turbo K900 is one of the quickest sedans on the market.
