Default Road Trip

Just returned from a 1600 mile trip from NC to FL and back. Today we did the 658 mile trip from Lido Beach (Sarasota, FL) to Monroe, NC. Left at 9:00 this morning and arrived home at 8:00. First stop in Sarasota for fuel and snacks (15 minutes). Second stop for lunch (45 min). Third stop for fuel (20 min). Fourth stop for restroom and fuel (20 min). Fifth stop at a Wendy's drive through (15). Trip was 11 hours with an actual driving time of 9 hours and 5 minutes resulting in an average speed (while driving) of 72.6 mph and 26.7 MPG. The majority of the trip was Interstates with a 70 mph speed limit. I set the cruise on 80 and the traffic was very light.

The new Toyo tires are very smooth making for a ride as comfortable as your La-Z-Boy. The Mrs usually wants frequent stops to stretch but said this was the best riding and quietest car she has ever road in (me too). Soaked up the miles in comfort.

Getting ready for the 23rd of January, trip from Glendale, AZ to Salisbury, NC. .
Will keep track of the MPG. run around there for 4 days then a return trip
Hardest pat of trip on GPM is from Glendale up 7000 feet to Flagstaff, AZ
We take 17 to Flagstaff then 40 all the way except for about 20 miles.
Easy trip wife and I used to do it in 2 days by starting out first day at 3:00 AM
This year will be 3 days and taking our time.
Last year took the Cadenza but it's the K900 this year.
It's about 2100 miles and 31 hours and 30 minutes where we go
