Default removing fender vents

Has anyone tried removing the fender vents on the K900?
Is the paint good under the phony vent?

I would love some one to try so I can see how it looks . As an aside I was picking up my wife at her mini cooper service centre and the customer area is plate glass where all the service advisors can see who is in the parking lot. This one young man started looking at my car and asked his colleagues what kind of car is that and and they all started looking,Finally my wife said it was a Kia canine as she calls it and they all came out firstly because they have never seen one and secondly to look at the badges because from the front it is impossible to determine its a Kia .. One of the guys after looking at the car said great looking car except for those cheesy vents .I was crushed

Agree that is the only bad thing I've been told about the car also.
Maybe if some one has there's repainted after a fender bender
or it was damaged they can try removing them to see if paint
is good under the vent. Don't want to remove and find out the
paint isn't there.

The vent is held on with a screw and bolt, so holes in the fender

Need to find something else to put in the hole. Anything would look better. Maybe a short narrow amber led. Anything
