Default Rear Camera

I personally do not like the rear camera guidelines that turn with the steering wheel .In my view it does not help in backing into parking spaces .Does anyone know if that can be turned off or fixed straight as it was in my Optima. I have reviewed the manuals and certainly cannot

It can not be turned off at all. It does take some getting use to for sure. Their is a top view as well, personally I'm not a fan of that option either. The default option, as stated does take getting use too, as you are aware if you are cutting your wheel in either direction the guidelines will turn as well, this was simply done to let one know, they are not backing up straight. Finally got the hang of it. It's okay!

The guide lines are great for my wife. She always gets confused on which way to turn the wheel, when backing up.
She ran over a no parking sign one time, at least it wasn't with the K900

I find backing up very confusing I guess it is how the brain interprets different stimuli. I always used my rear camera when the guidelines were fixed as my "bible" to back up and park. With the curvy lines not so much I am much more inclined top use the camera and my rear view side mirrors .I find the curvy lines dot adequately protect you on getting to close to the the car next to the space you want to park in . Just my thoughts .It is pretty obvious I am stuck with these lines so I will simply adapt Than ks everyone for your input .These forums are great

Does your car have the parking assist? The center screen lights up to show me if I'm to close at any corner , as well as front and back,to a car.
Does the Canadian k900 have that?
do you have a front camera?
I know a lot of things are different in other countries.

Yes to both and in fact the parking assist I rely on equally to the rear camera especially when i I am parking in either a tight space or judging parallel parking or parking head on . I do have the front camera but the parking assist is way better and i rarely use that option .If I had to pay extra I wouldn't . I do not have the 360 view and would be interested to any one who does have iot and what they think of it
