Default Production Kia GT4 Stinger continues Kia's move up-market

Kia will unleash the production version of its GT4 Stinger concept before the end of 2014. It should be in showrooms towards the end of the year.

The exterior styling will likely stay true to the concept while the interior will be changed quite a bit from the concept's futuristic cabin.

This vehicle is another push in Kia move up-market. Do you think that Kia is doing a good job with the K900 and GT4 Stinger rebranding itself as more upscale?

I love just about everything about it, good to see this type of car coming from Kia. Can't wait to see how the production model looks.

Yea this concept car has amazing design to it, and if they can keep that in the production version I think that it could be a hit. If Kia undercuts its competitors I think a lot of people would opt for this. Its only when you compare it to other sports cars that you start to have second thoughts.

Another thing to consider is if this is a design concept which a lot of car makers are doing more of instead of concepts directly based on a production model. If it's a design exercise then we can expect the production model to be VERY different.

I do not think that the GT4 STinger is a design exercise. The production model should look pretty similar. I mean the body of the concept isn't particularly crazy and this model should be on the higher end of the market anyway. It almost looks like Kia's version of a muscle car or something. Anyone know what engine is going to come in it?

If they use the Genesis platform it will be a good idea, might as well expand on it since it could be similar enough. Looking forward to this.
