The selling dealer called today. They have confirmed that the car was NOT involved in a front end incidence. Come to find out that the selling dealer's body shop repainted the left from bumper skin to cover up a few scratches. The incidence refered to by the CarFax report was actually at the rear, was minor, and did not require any replaced of parts.

Now KIA says that I, yes me, broke both lights and that they still are not covered by warranty. How in the **** did they come up with this ridiculous story? Seems to me that they are doing everything they can, even lie, to avoid replacing both lights.

The selling deler said that KIA consumer affairs is now involved,

I am not impressed with KIA's Premium service.

Did you get any kind of warranty when you purchased the car?
I ask because some cars get a 30 day warranty and if there is anything wrong dealer must fix.
Some states it is illegal for a dealer to sell a car which will not pass inspections.
Check your rights on buying a used car in your state
unless the car was sold as is, then your screwed
Eve if it was a thirty day warranty it may say it will pass inspection and is safe to drive.

I have a copy of the NC state inspection where the dealer checked off that the lights where properly aimed. I also have the dealers internal inspection which also states the lights work properly. Now I suspect that the dealer just checked off the lights as good without actually checking them.

Default check on ebay before buying new head lamps

Great news, you got them replaced.
Any time you deal with kia, you
have to keep right after them till
they cave in.
My K900 has been great.

I know this was resolved but wanted to note I was on EBAY last night and found LED head lights for as low as $550 and halogen one for $150. Now I can not say anything to the trustworthiness or quality of the sellers but if you are in a pinch and your insurance will not cover the cost.

Might help if you post a link to the items you are referring too.

I cannot imagine how the LED headlamps could possibly be that cheap.

Like I said I can give no support to anything on ebay, been burned there to many times. This is only what I found.
I'd expect these are used as well.
