Default Internal fan

When I turn off my auto system or my AC ( don't use that this time of year ) I still get air form my vents .Is there no way to completely turn that off .. I do use the auto setting a lot ( 73F) and the auto defrost kicks when needed Often I prefer not to use auto , or just fan but regardless of both not on I still receive air through vents and forces my wife to close vent flaps .Can the airflow be totally stopped pressing off doesn't seem to work and climate display shows airflow when off

Oh don't even let me start with this. I ended up dropping off my car at the Kia dealership and they hold onto it for 28 days trying to figure out the issue.

In the end, they gave me the car back and said that it's normal operation on the vehicle. Kia ended up settling out and handing me a nice chunk of money for the inconvenience.

Essentially if you tilt the sunroof or open it in anyway whatsoever, the vehicle will not allow you to have your climate control set on internal air only.

So basically, have your vents set to internal air only, and open your sunroof, and you'll see the internal switch is turned off instantly.

Completely ridiculous to be honest.

Different looking buttons and layout on the K900, but the button looks like this and lights up when it's initiated:
