Ditto on the HUD like Zathras said. I like having the speed right there, and I'm also getting real used to having the blind spot warning right there in front of me too.

The VIP is the way to go.

Has anyone put 100K miles on a 2015 yet and if so what mechanical problems have you had to fix. We had a BMW 7 Series and we had to change the tires every 15K (what a mess) and around 85K miles the transmission started to slip. Not sure if people understand how exclusive this vehicle is - less than 2500 units were sold in 2015, thats in the entire country [ Kia K900 US car sales figures ]

I do not have any personal experience, as my K900 only has 12k miles on it. I work from home, so I don't drive a lot. However, the Tau V8 and ZF 8-speed transmission in the K900 is the same drivetrain used in the Equus/Genesis, and there are many of those out there with well over 100k miles on them. The drivetrain is solid and very reliable. When a K900 dies it is unlikely to be due to powertrain issues, but expensive electronics that will ultimately cost more to replace than the car is worth.

This is not a problem unique to the K900 either. Almost all modern vehicles, even economy cars, are loaded with expensive computers, electronic doodads and gizmos that cost a fortune to replace once the warranty runs out.

update: I ended up not buying the K900. Nothing to do with the car itself, but I just got the itch to get a truck instead and bought the new RAM 1500 Limited.

Did you get the huge touchscreen? I saw one at the auto show and it looked just ginormous.

I loved my K900, Put 55,000 miles on it in 3 years. 1 minor recall, Transmission rest to OEM specs one time. KIA changed the original tires for me when they couldn't be balanced right. I paid an extra $70.00 to replace with Conti contact DWS 06 tires. They were still on car when lease was up.
In first 6 months have had more major problems with the Genesis G90 than I had with the K900 and that includes even the oil changes on the K900, if I count those against the K900 as a problem. I changed the oil every 3000 miles. Wish I had purchased the K900, G90 is a nice car but a dog as far as I'm concerned ( Really nice car just non stop problems, and dealers are not as nice as the KIA dealers were.)

Really interesting to hear your experience, Gene, since I'm guessing you are the only one here with experience with both cars. If I had to replace my K (god forbid!) I would definitely think about this before considering the G90.

If you could find a G90 that was trouble free CPO would be a good buy.
G90 is a step up as far as driving and ride over the K900.
I think the new 2019 K900 will have about the same handling and ride
as the G90 maybe better as KIA tunes car a little more towards sport.
Only thing I don't like now is I hear you will no longer be able to get a V8
Will let you know how the G90 holds up from now on. May be I just got a dud
others seem to love the car, But don't think any of them had a K900
AS a foot note.
My wife likes the G90 better

Hello Gene,
Tonight I found by accident a neat youtube video titled " 2020 Genesis G90 " which you might enjoy watching. No spec details but lots of great video of the new design; a real change on the front and rear. I like much of it; not sure about some of the things like the grille, and maybe the wheels. Share your thoughts? I tried to attach the link but failed; should come right up with that title on the youtube site.

I found a side note from Korea saying only about 260 will be sent to the USA,
All should be all wheel drive and V-6 turbo.
I still have 2 years on the G90 so will only be able to look for now
