Default Safety

Just wanted to pass some info along. Had a rock come up and hit my windshield about 2 weeks ago. No big deal but came out to go to work and had a huge crack down the glass. Called my insurance company 1100.00 repair(free in South Carolina-state law-praise Jesus) dealer glass available only(another plus) however my insurance company informed me that once replaced the blind spot, active cruise control, rain sensors, and lane departure systems all needed to be recalibrated. Insurance will 100% reimburse me, just one of those things that I didn't realize or was aware of and I work for KIA. Checked into it with our body shop and the same applies if the K900 is in an accident also.

That is very good information . It would seem to me that if Gods for bid that happens to my K900 I would allow Kia to coordinate the windshield repair through their shop ergo all the electronics re calibrated can be done at the same time so I don't need to take my car into two different locations.especially since they give me a loaner car anyways.

Whoa, whoa whoa ... I just realized something as my active cruise control and AVSM have stopped working and its been snowy/dirty/sleety here in Colorado, if that thing gets dirty, will the radar stop working?!

EDIT FOLLOWUP: That did not do it. Radar still seems to be jacked. Scheduled an appt for next Weds.
