Thumbs down Headlight motor failure...NOT COVERED

I started noticing the headlights were pointing downward. Took it to the dealership. Told me it was the headlight motor and was NOT covered. Cost? $10,000!!! Contacted Kia and the best they could do was split it with me. $5000 to replace headlight motor??? Thats ridiculous!! Costs more than the engine! Nothing I did wrong!! Will try to get rid of this piece of crap as soon as I can. Anyone have any thoughts??

I've seen them on ebay for as little as $800.00
Just make sure if you go that way the whole head light is
in good shape. no cracks, and motor working.
Are you the first owner?
How many miles ?
If second owner was it a certified preowned?

Thumbs down Headlight problem

No thats the point. The headlight is working fine. It's the motor that raises and lowers the light. It costs $10,000!!! Kia customer service told me "well on an expensive car the parts are expensive". That's a baloney answer! They offered to split it with me. Still would cost $5000. Car was leased for a year and then turned in. It has 80,000 miles. Runs fine. Really frustrated.

Here is the parts list for the OEM K900
https://kiacarparts.net/
You will find that the headlamp assembly is a
self contained unit, should be that the up down
motors are inside assembly.
Other people have had the same issue and only
had to install a new headlamp assembly.
Type in the parts you want to see and they will come up.
The entire headlamp doesn't move, just the bulb
holders.
Also look at what those motors cost https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/hea...ing-motor.html
Is it one light or both?
See one here on ebay http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2015-2016-KIA...3D282264250555
