Talking New K900 owner

New to the forum, just purchased a 2015 K900 VIP at the end of last month. Drove it from WI to KS and averaged just over 28 MPG.

Congratulations and welcome. Yes, that is about the same mileage I get on the open road. Its great for touring, I'm just waiting for a tow hitch to tow a small trailer.

I just finished a 4500 mile trip. Back east then back to Arizona
I thought it would be interesting to see what the mileage would be
using regular gas instead of 91 octane.
Here are the results 91 octane going east 27.6 mpg, always about 4-5 miles over the speed limit
Coming back on regular 27.5 mpg same route
That included my running around in the town of Salisbury,NC
A lot better than the ratings.
91 octane is recommended but car runs on regular fine. Will need to use a gas add in system cleaner
more often with regular to keep the carbon buildup down.
I always use 91 octane anyway but wanted to see what the difference would be

Gene, I just joined, and saw where you were asking about splash guards. I found some at Pep Boys and also carried at Rally Automotive. They are by Pro-Fit, Style/Size 1, $19.XX. You have to do a little drilling, but they fit. Look good on my 2016 K900.

Wish that I could find either a rear lip spoiler or a conservative wing spoiler (something like on the Jaguar Coupes). I have a wing from a Genesis that I was thinking of trying. But I'm a little hesitant.
