Default Will the HUD come as an option or standard?

The HUD display on the Kia Quoris will display information like speed, navigation directions and lane departure warnings onto your windshield. I am really excited about this feature. It feels very futuristic to me. I am just wondering if anyone knows if this feature will come standard, or if it is an option.

If it is an option, any idea how much it will go for?

It would be great if they made this a standard feature but considering it's a Kia and a totally new Kia that's part of the companies efforts to take them to new levels, it might be best to make this an option and keep MSRP lower. I'm sure people will be find using the traditional instrument cluster as they have for many years.

I'm pretty much sure it will be an option as on Equus...and probably it will be part of a bigger package ...maybe tech package

a good option for now would be garmin's HUD as seen in this article:

This is a pretty cool feature, but I doubt it will come standard. It is so new, and it has nothing to do with safety. Things come standard when they are older, or if they are a safety breakthrough (and sometimes not even then.)

I'm definitely interested, but I would have to see how much it would set me back as an option.

this is why they need to have a Quoris configurator online.

Very true, seeing how it's intended as a 2014 model, we probably won't see any of that stuff till all the 2014 auto shows pass or even right before they start.
Shouldn't be too much longer.

It's always like that but the Quoris s making a somewhat late appearance. I could see how anxious most consumers are waiting for more details.

I could see it coming as a standard feature. KIA is trying to move themselves upmarket with the Quoris and they cant do that by adopting the German motto of OPTION EVERYTHING. Especially if this car is expected to MSRP in $60k range it better be a spell casting wizards car.

KIA needs to entice people to switch from established luxury or fringe luxury brands and the best way to entice people is to offer them bang for their bucks

If they can offer very few options and make a lot of things standard it can do a lot for them, i would say monospec but in the luxury market people like to pick what they can and cant have
