Default Tires tires tires

so had another K900 at the dealership today with a vibration(imagine that) so now the word is if the car has hankooks then we replace them with hankooks but not the same model. The OE tires are hankook 426 we are now supposed to replace them with hankook S1 noble 2 extra loads. Supposed to help with vibration due to the weight of the car. We will see. They do have a 500 AA tread wear and traction rating

My K900 didn't come with hankook optimo H 426 tires. It came with the hankook S1 noble 2. They had to replace them because of vibration.
I have the V8 luxury. What are the 426's on, the premium or the V6.
I now have continental extreme contact DWS 06's.
Guess I was one of the first to get them replaced as KIA let me pay a few dollars more and they replaced them.
The latest here has been KIA would let people upgrade to continentals at extra cost but now only the ContiProContactand they are the new Low Rolling Resistance Technology.
will not replace with the DWS 06's any longer.
The continental ContiProContact s are an upgrade option on some new 2016 models at extra cost.
The new continental ProContact GX SSR s have an M+S rating and come on the big Mercedes and they are a MOExtended Runflat tire.

We have only had the premium or VIP models available here until the 2016 models came out. We now have the v6 available but for 16 only. The V8 models here have always come with the hankook 426 which come on the optima sx and the cadenza. Or the continental pro contacts. However I personally have replaced tires on all but 2 K900's that we have seen.. I'd say 10-15 vehicles. I had the hankook 426 on my optima wasn't a bad tire got 65k out of them before I traded it. My 900 came with the same tire but I just replaced my tires with the Bridgestone serenity tire.. World of difference.. Don't think it's the brand really think a 4500 pound vehicle sat in the same spot at the port which caused the tires to flat spot on these cars. My car was built 12/14 but we didn't get it to the dealership until 11/15. It had 19 miles on it when I purchased it in January, and we put 12 miles on it at PDI. Crazy thing about this new Kia hankook protocol is the S1 noble has been recalled on the Hyundai Genesis/Equis due to sidewalls splitting. Guess the car won't vibrate if it's on the side of the road fun stuff

In Canada as far as I know the Hankooks have not been recalled .I have taken it upon myself to recall those tires, use the 275,000 Kia Dealer points and order new tires. My first choice was Pirelli but they are on a 6-8 week back order , the second choice is Goodyear Eagle all season .They have the tread design that vibration , noise, and wet weather handling which is probably the most important issue in the North West will not be issues .I am having them installed this week . With my dealer points the tires are costing me less than 400 installed .

Default M&S tires

Hey funnyman have you seen The new continental ProContact GX SSR s have an M+S rating .
Don't know yet what the tread wear is but might be a good choice in Canada unless you change to snow tires in the winter.
But that is a good deal you got on the goodyears

Don't understand how my K900 had Si nobles on it unless they were changed by the KIA executive who was driving the car before me.
I did notice if I increased the tire pressure to 34 lbs on the S1 nobles the vibration seem to mostly go away.

I do change to snow tires I just had my Falken snow tires removed .They were great tires and would highly recommend them for their price and wear. When I had them removed the front werar was 100% and the rear 90% after6 months of use. Again wet weather driving is the most important issue and the Falkens were great .

Replaced the hankooks today with the new hankook S1 noble2 tires today. Drove the customers car home tonight. Very smooth and quiet ride. All tires balanced out with less than 10lbs of road force. 21lbs being acceptable.. Original tires were over 60lbs of road force. Not the best tires on the world but if KIA is making us keep hankooks on our cars it's an improvement

Yep.. Only time will tell.. Vibration free bridgestones on mine so at the end of the day I could care less. But as a service advisor I will gladly keep replacing the tires as long as Kia keeps paying. The 16 model has continentals so I'm assuming they've learned their lesson. I'd venture to say hankook is reimbursing Kia that's why they have gotten so hankook only crazy
