Default Bad Meserati

I have a 2014 Maserati Ghibli SQ4 and I am considering leaving my lease for a 2015 K900. I made a mistake with the Ghibli, and I learned about the cars problems after the fact from a forum. (Harsh ride, unpredictable, electronics etc.) I understand sport vs. luxury.

I was hoping some K900 owners would share their issues with me before I make a move. Or provide some real life experiences that can sway me either way. Thank you for your time and consideration. -K

14,600 miles and only one problem in all those miles. at about 12,000 miles the transmission started to
give a slight bump when stopping. Went to dealership they reset the transmission using a portable
hand held programmer. Works great again. Transmission is electronically controlled and learns as
we drive it.
Nice smooth ride, some say to smooth because it doesn't drive like a sports car. Not made to race
around curves, it was made for the ride.
Consider the luxury with VIP package and check out the new quilted seats, only available in blue
and saddle color interior. I like the saddle color , it looks great.
Service on this car has been good, that depends on the dealership I guess
Go take a top of the line one for a ride, let us know what you think

Gene, Thanks very much for responding to my inquiry. Ironically the only issue I have read about was a transmission issue similar to yours, and also remedied quickly.

I did not think to check out colors, they have a white with black on the lot, but quilted saddle with Blue sounds exotic. I'll let you know what I decide and again, thank you. -K

Default certified

If you can go for a certified used ( sorry pre-owned) They have a good warranty.
Can get one with low mileage luxury edition for less than a loaded Cadenza.
They give you a great warranty on the certified.
Your not going to get one with the VIP package, no one wants to get rid of them.
Some people don't like a used car no matter what.
Go to kia.com and check the certified pull down menu.
Look for discounts on a new one.

Thank you for your comments and encouragement. Today I bought a 2015 K900 Luxury. Options include VIP, surround view, Smart Cruise Control, heads up display, extendable driver seat, and few more fun things I didn’t need but I’m glad it has.
I’m sure I’ll be sharing my experiences soon. The test drive with my wife today sealed the deal, just too much nice car for the money. How many people trade in a 2014 Maserati for a 2015 KIA!

So what color did you get? outside and inside?
New?
Your going to love it, rides so nice.
People see it and don't believe it's a KIA
I only know of one person who made that trade! Ha! Ha!
Your getting a loaded car that has as much if not more than
the Maserati for a lot less money
Just not the name
The K900 is hard to beat unless you want to spend $90,000.00
to $120,000.00
Enjoy it, my wife love ours

10,000 miles, two major trips, 1 year ownership this month (Oct 2015), K900 with VIP package (only way to fly).

One oil change. Nary a hiccup since day one. LOVE IT!!

4500 klms owned since June not one issue except a parking valet got plastic caught in muffler and started to smell.- Kia's premium service took care of it with an appointment . Nothing else except that any issues that I have had mostly with electronics and how to set up using joy stick solved by this Forum. BYW my only complaint shared by many others on this forum is the screen is not touch controlled but joy stick controlled
