Will KIA produce a 2018 K900 for sale in the USA?
That may be a big question. Hyundai spun the EQUUS off to be the new
2017 Genesis G90.
Hyundai usually comes out with changes and updates one year ahead
of the KIA's. Let's hope that is still the case here. the new 2017 Genesis G90
Is a good step up from our K900. Even a Turbo V6 and can have all wheel drive.
Adjustable suspension would be a plus.
If KIA doesn't step up, I might have to look at a Genesis next time.
I've said that before about the KIA brand and they have always come out
with something new enough to attract me back.
Then to KIA is taking the Cadenza up a notch, would be nice to have a brand here,
But think the Genesis is going to be it.

I also hope they continue the K900 line. I much prefer the styling to the Equus of matching years. It would be interesting to see if they have a refresh similar to the Cadenza. I'll be waiting and watching as well

I'm excited to see what Kia does as well. I think the Hyundai/Genesis did a better job of seamlessly incorporating the front camera aesthetically in the design. This is one thing I think kinda looks like an after thought on the K900. Change that and the front wheel well vents everyone hates.

I really hope they do something soon, cause Hyundai has definitely stepped their game up huge!

I still cannot understand how the 2015 Genesis has the feature that keeps you in between the lanes on the freeway without touching the wheel, but our K900 doesn't have that.

The Genesis G90 is a great car, as was its predecessor the Equus. I test drove the Equus along side the K900 and decided on the latter, for one reason. The Equus looks to much like a chauffeur driven car, and the Genesis G90 even more so. The K900 makes a more fitting statement of a personal luxury 4 dr sedan.

That being said, I'm not optimistic of in Kia continuing the K900 because it's just not selling. Check these sales figure out:

Kia K900 US car sales figures

... down to 60-80 units nationwide monthly for all of 2016. Dealers are not ordering the car... Sad, because I do like it a lot.

What's the downside of Kia discontinuing the K900 in the US? The only impact I can think of it's the damage to re-sale price, not that the car holds much value to begin with. So really no big deal in my opinion. As long as Kia is active in the US, the discontinuation of a certain model shouldn't harm owners' ability to get parts/repair. Any one w/ a different opinion?
